Quantprove reads trade lists: CSV, Excel, or HTML reports.
A screenshot or a scanned PDF is a picture, so it has no trades to read.
Export the trade history from your platform instead, or connect your broker.
Quantprove needs the numbers behind your trades: one row per trade with its date and result. A screenshot, a phone photo, or a scanned PDF only holds a picture of those numbers. Quantprove does not guess numbers from an image, because one misread digit would change your results.
Which files work#
- CSV (also TSV and TXT): the export most platforms and journals offer.
- Excel (XLSX or XLS): spreadsheets and broker statements.
- HTML report: the MetaTrader report and many broker statements.
- XML, JSON, ZIP, and PDF files with real text also work. A PDF works only when you can select its text.
Export from MetaTrader 4#
- Open the Terminal window and select the Account History tab.
- Right-click the list and select All History.
- Right-click again and select Save as Report.
- Upload the saved HTML file to Quantprove.
Export from MetaTrader 5#
- Open the Toolbox window and select the History tab.
- Right-click the list and choose the period you want.
- Right-click again, select Report, and then select HTML.
- Upload the saved HTML file to Quantprove.
Export from another platform#
- Open the trade history, account history, or statement page.
- Look for Export, Download, Report, or Statement.
- Choose CSV, Excel, or HTML when the platform asks for a format.
- Upload that file without editing it first.
Skip the file#
Connect your broker and Quantprove reads your trades directly, with no file to export. New trades then arrive on their own.
