Validation compares live evidence with a Backtest baseline.
Both evidence sets must belong to the same Saved System.
More live trades can change the comparison and its confidence.

Validation helps you see whether live trades behave like they did in testing.

Before you begin#

The system needs a saved Backtest baseline and eligible live or forward trades. Confirm that both groups describe the same rules and use compatible result units.

Build the comparison#

  1. Open Validation.
  2. Select the Saved System you want to review.
  3. Confirm its Backtest source.
  4. Assign or select the matching live Journal trades.
  5. Check the units, dates, and trade counts for both groups.
  6. Run Validation when the required evidence is ready.

Read the result#

The Stability Score summarizes how closely the live evidence matches testing across several dimensions. Confidence reflects how much evidence supports the comparison.

Read the Stability Score, then compare the underlying evidence.

Validation is unavailable#

Check for a saved Backtest, eligible live trades, matching system assignments, and compatible result units. Fix missing or incorrect evidence before retrying.

Continue with Monitor#

Use Monitor after the system has an established baseline and an ongoing live record.
