Assign a Journal trade when you know which Saved System produced it. The trade stays in the global Journal and appears in that system's Journal view.
Before you assign#
Create the Saved System first. Use one system for trades that share the same core rules and expected behaviour.
Assign one trade#
- Open the Journal.
- Find an unassigned trade.
- Open its system field or assignment action.
- Select the correct Saved System.
- Confirm that the trade now appears in that system's Journal.
Assign several trades#
Select the matching rows, then use the bulk assignment action. Review the selection before saving so trades from a different approach are not mixed into the same evidence.
Save a rule#
When the Journal offers an assignment rule, use it only when future trades from that broker account should consistently belong to the selected system.
A system is missing#
Create a Saved System, then return to the Journal and assign the trade. Use What is a system? when you are unsure whether two approaches belong together.
