Quantprove needs a numeric result for each completed trade. When several numeric columns could be the result, the importer asks you to choose.
Choose the result column#
Select the column that represents the final outcome of each trade. Common examples include profit and loss, net P&L, points, or R result.
Check that:
- wins are positive and losses are negative;
- the column uses one unit;
- totals and balances are not mixed with trade results;
- blank cells do not represent completed trades.
Choose the date column#
Use the date that identifies when the trade belongs in the Journal. Keep the format consistent and confirm that day and month have not been swapped.
Understand duplicates#
Journal import adds only new trades. A duplicate count means Quantprove found rows that match trades already in the Journal and left them out.
Correct a completed import#
- Select Undo import from the success screen when it is still available.
- Correct the source file or mapping.
- Import again.
- Confirm the new and duplicate counts.
Use Fix a failed upload if the importer cannot read the file.
