Which rates are used?#

New published-rate selections use the latest fee schedule available in Quantprove for that account and product. The calculation keeps a copy of that schedule and its source date. It models what those rates would cost on the backtest; it does not replace your trade dates or claim those were the broker's historical charges.

Existing saved historical fee profiles keep their original pricing until you choose new account fees. Account-specific rates can be entered directly. A published rate for one product or region does not apply to every account at that broker.

Fees already included#

When every trade's result already includes broker fees, the row says Fees already included and cannot be opened. Those fees are not charged again. If only some trades include fees, the remaining trades can still use the selected settings.

Maker, taker and round turn#

Maker and taker inputs are percentages of each execution's value. The execution data must identify which rate applies. Spot and perpetual products can have different rates even though they use the same input form.

Round turn means the combined opening and closing commission. Per side means a separate commission for each side. Quantprove also needs the applicable lot, contract, share or order quantity; the fee basis is not the same as the trade's risk.

Why are costs not applied?#

Saving a rate does not supply missing trade details. A percentage fee needs the executed value; a contract fee needs the number of contracts. Currency conversion needs a supported rate for the trade. To express a monetary fee in R, the calculation needs that trade's monetary risk in a known currency.

A file containing only dates and R results may not contain those details. Add the available fields to your trade data and import them through the Backtest Log. Missing values remain unresolved rather than being counted as zero fees.

Where do the settings apply?#

The saved settings apply to Backtest analysis, Validation's backtest side and Monitor's backtest baseline. Broker-delivered live results keep their own costs. A commission schedule covers its stated charges; it does not invent funding, spreads, financing or other missing fees.
